Yard Waste & Christmas Tree Pickup

BRUSH REMOVAL: Our regular biweekly Thursday brush pickup service will resume on April 6th, 2023 and continue through November. During the weeks of Memorial Day and Labor Day, pickup will be delayed until Friday.

Yard waste pickup for our neighborhood is provided by Syracuse Haulers. Please note that this service is contracted through our HOA board and paid for using funds from our HOA dues, not through the Town of Pompey.

Preparing Brush for Pickup
• Acceptable yard waste includes items such as leaves, vegetation (pumpkins and apples), tree and shrub branches and grass clippings.
• All brush must be placed curbside or at the edge of pavement in front of each property the night before designated collection day or by 6 a.m. the day of your pickup. When strong overnight winds are forecasted, please try to place items out in the morning.
• Pickups usually occur between the hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Inclement weather may create delays, sometimes a day or two later.
• Brush put out for collection must not block sewer drains or roads.
• Brush should be tied in bundles with twine/string, placed in brown recyclable yard waste bags (for sale in retail locations including True Value, BJs, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes) or placed in a reusable plastic or metal container.
• Bundles may not exceed 5 feet in length.
• Containers and bundles of the brush may not be more than 50 pounds each.
• No materials will be collected in plastic trash bags (they are not recyclable).

If you do miss a pickup, please do not leave your yard waste by the road until the next pickup two weeks later. Please remove and store it. Then bring it back out the night before the following scheduled service date.

CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP: Tentatively on 1/11/2024 and 1/25/2024
