The Preserve HOA Spring 2016 Newsletter
Autumn is finally here and soon we will all be hibernating for winter. By now your pools are getting covered and winterized, and your boats and campers are all back in storage.
Fall Clean-Up
Many of you are doing your Autumn yard clean-up. It’s very important that your brush is put out ONLY on the DAY-OF pickup or the NIGHT BEFORE. Please do not leave your brush out curb-side for weeks on end knowing that you missed that week’s pick-up. Especially as we move into our windy season, we really want to keep our neighborhood looking as pristine as possible all year-round.
Yard Waste Pickup
The first pick up is Thursday, April 14 and then it’s every other Thursday through Fall 2016.
October 13 & 27
November 10 (No pickup on Thanksgiving)
December 8 & 22
All brush must be placed curbside or at the edge of pavement in front of each property the night prior to designated collection day or by 6:00am the day of your pick-up.
Collection of brush is to include leaves, vegetation (pumpkin and apples), tree and shrub branches, grass clippings, Christmas trees and other acceptable yard waste. B
No materials will be collected in trash or plastic bags (they are not recyclable).
Bundles of brush may not be more than 50 lbs. each, and bundles may not exceed 5 feet in length.
Brush should be tied in bundles with twine or string or placed in brown recyclable yard waste bags.
If your brush did not get picked up it probably means that you did not do it right — (the HOA board has no control of the brush requirements.)
Illegal Dumping
It is illegal to dump anything, to include yard waste anywhere in the Preserve.
Speed and Safety in the Neighborhood
Please pay attention to the speed limits and stop signs. We have lots of kids in the neighborhood that might not always look both ways before darting into the road.
Starting an Addition, Pool or other Project?
Please consult the website under the Modifications tab for the proper procedure. There is an Architectural Committee that needs to approve your planned project BEFORE the project can begin. Modifications, additions or alterations undertaken without prior approval by the Board of Directors are subject to removal, at the homeowner’s expense. Above-ground pools are not allowed in the Preserve.
Pets
Please remember to curb your dog. The Town of Pompey has a MANDATORY leash law.
Satellite Dish Installation
Please know that satellite dish installation is an addition that must be applied for through the HOA. All of our residents want to maintain that curb appeal that brought us to the Preserve. Planning to attach it to the house or nearby with some beautiful landscaping is all it takes!
