HOA Website and Facebook Page:
In an effort to enhance communication in the neighborhood, please follow our website, www.thepreservemanliusny.com and FB Page.
The neighborhood always has new people moving in. Welcome to all new homeowners! This is a friendly community and most everyone is willing to lend a hand. Please feel free to reach out to the board with any questions.
The Pristine Preserve Preservation
This year, we are going back to a specific clean up day Saturday April 24 from 8-Noon. Each family in the neighborhood is invited to help clean up The Preserve. The more people that help, the easier it is for everyone as we keep the Preserve free from garbage and construction debris. Everything collected can be placed out for garbage pickup.
This year the dumpsters will be available Tuesday May 4th to Wednesday May 5th . Please do not throw away any hazardous
materials, tires, computers, paint or anything w/ freon.
These must be properly recycled through OCRRA. Please break down all large items to minimize space these items take up.
Brush Pick up
Brush is scheduled to be picked up every other Thursday. See the schedule posted on the FB page and Website.
Saturday, May 1stth has been selected as the Garage Sale Date. Advertisements will be run in local papers to help get people here. There is no fee to participate so go through your stuff and make some easy money.
As laid out by the By-Laws of the HOA each year a meeting of all the residents in The Preserve must be conducted. This year’s annual meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, September 11h at 2 PM with a rain date of September 18th. More details will follow.
This year we are planning on holding a block party after the annual meeting from 4-6pm. The format will be determined later due to the fluid COVID situation.
Drainage Solution and Projects multiple ideas
As promised, the board has investigated the drainage issues raised by homeowners. The Town has hired an engineer to design improvements regarding drainage issues. The initial focus will be on two main areas. The first consists of the drainage ditch between the Preserve Parkway and Winding Creek properties as well as the ditch behind 4347 Winding Creek Road. The subsequent focus will be on the other drainage challenges. The Town is working with the County on various options that include support on finance, bidding, scheduling, and overall logistics to minimize cost and inconvenience to the neighborhood. Please understand that the yards affected by these drainage area improvements will be repaired prior to the conclusion of the construction work.
In all cases, the drainage in the neighborhood is part of a drainage district. The Town of Pompey has the responsibility to maintain the drainage in the neighborhood. The HOA will not spend HOA funds on Town Property. Renee Rotondo, the Pompey Town Supervisor has really dedicated a lot of effort to help our neighborhood resolve our drainage challenges. The Town has again requested everyone refrain from throwing yard debris including grass clippings, Christmas trees, garbage, etc in the ditches as it all inhibits the free flow of the water.
Safety in the Neighborhood
-Please pay attention to the speed limits and stop signs. We have lots of kids in the neighborhood that might not always look both ways before darting into the road. In addition, each year brings new drivers to the neighborhood as well. It’s all too easy to be distracted while driving with cell phones, life and everyday challenges. Please pay attention and be safe!
– Concerns have been expressed regarding fireworks in the neighborhood. Fireworks are nerve wracking to neighbors and pets, they are also are illegal in New York State.
-Please keep all dogs leashed while walking them in the roadway and Forever Wild.
Additional Ideas for Neighborhood Projects
The HOA Board is continually trying to improve our neighborhood. We have taken on many capital projects such as the neighborhood street sign improvements, The Preserve Signage upgrades, Walking Paths Projects, and Landscape Improvements to mention a few. As we consider additional projects for the upcoming year, we would like to hear from you. Please submit suggestions through email to any of The HOA Board Members through the Preserve website.
