Preserve HOA Membership Meeting

II. Approval of past EC minutes
David Angello moves to waive reading and approve the 2017 Preserve HOA meeting minutes. Approved on voice vote at 2:10 p.m. SG 2nd
III. Old Business
Drainage issues between Preserve Parkway and Winding Creek Road
Town of Pompey Supervisor Carole Marsh was in attendance to discuss the progress made on the discovery phase of the engineering report done on the drainage problems that Preserve residents are having. Residents are concerned about the cost of the work, who was to pay for it, who was to perform the work and who was to do the upkeep of the work after the work was performed. The drainage issue is still being worked out by the Town of Pompey. Marsh said she will report back to the Preserve HOA board with more information when it becomes available. (See Engineering Report that was handed out at the meeting.)
Welcome Committee
There is a need for a new welcoming committee for the neighborhood. There were not any volunteers.
Dog Poop
Residents are urged to curb their dogs and to pickup their dogs poop rather than leave it on a neighbor’s lawn.
Yard Waste
All brush must be placed curbside or at the edge of pavement in front of each property the night prior to designated collection day or by 6:00am the day of your pick-up. Collection of brush is to include leaves, vegetation (pumpkin and apples), tree and shrub branches, grass clippings, Christmas trees and other acceptable yard waste. No materials will be collected in trash or plastic bags (they are not recyclable). Bundles of brush may not be more than 50 lbs. each, and bundles may not exceed 5 feet in length. Brush should be tied in bundles with twine or string or placed in brown recyclable yard waste bags.

IV. New Business
Director Term Renewals and Elections
Preserve HOA President Hugh Graham moved out of the neighborhood, the HOA board and membership thanked him for his service to the community.
David Angello volunteered to become Director. Jonathan Riddell was voted in as President by acclamation voice vote of all present.
Annual Dues: $180
Speeding
There is a concern from residents about speeding in Neighborhood. Carol Marsh the town supervisor was present at the meeting. She says if the HOA Board would like to get the Sheriff’s office to run radar in the neighborhood, all they have to do is ask, but at same time realize that residents will be getting tickets — even the ones who are asking for people to slow down.
Residents are urged to please pay attention to the speed limits and stop signs. There are lots of kids in the neighborhood that might not always look both ways before darting into the road.
Vandalism and Behavior
Residents were urged that if they see something that is abnormal for The Preserve to report it to the police. The HOA Board cannot enforce laws. “If you see something, say something”

Satellite Dish Installation
Please know that satellite dish installation is an addition that must be applied for through the HOA. All of our residents want to maintain that curb appeal that brought us to the Preserve. Planning to attach it to the house or nearby with some beautiful landscaping is all it takes!
Starting an Addition, Pool or other Project?
Please consult the website under the Modifications tab for the proper procedure. There is an Architectural Committee that needs to approve your planned project BEFORE the project can begin. Modifications, additions or alterations undertaken without prior approval by the Board of Directors are subject to removal, at the homeowner’s expense. Above-ground pools are not allowed in the Preserve.
